UNRELIABLE & EXPENSIVE

Purchased this scanner to record incoming specialists medical reports to our electronic medical record system. Scanner came with lots of software; however, the main driver needed to use with Windows XP Pro was missing from the installation disk. The big problem, however, was the constant multiple-page feeds, which we could not correct. Even newly-printed pages would not scan individually on a consistent basis. HP does offer a replacement roller kit for this unit, but shouldn't be the solution for a new scanner. Because our office needs to reliably scan hundreds of pages of reports daily, we were unable to spend time monitoring the scan process to detect and re-scan missed pages. Returned for credit.
