I use this scanner 1-5 days a week at work. I am the only person that has ever used it and I've been using it for 10 months. 95% of what I scan is double-sided glossy magazine pages into PDF through the automatic document feeder (ADF). I have problems with this scanner too much of the time. It will have an error in the ADF which is fixable but time-wasting. The pages are often not straight and VERY often have stretched text. I called tech support when it started to cut off the top of the second-side of a page. After hours of troubleshooting, they sent a replacement ADF which fixed it but I still struggle with stretched text and crooked pages (I re-installed the software too). However, tech support was very nice, friendly, helpful, patient, and most of all, knowledgeable. They even helped me out after my warranty was a week or two expired.
Though I didn't purchase this item, the person who did spoke to the HP sales team before buying it. These flaws with glossy paper are unacceptable and should be made known to the consumer.
