Needs reliable support

I bought this boat anchor and haven't figured out a lot yet. Video records for 2 minutes and then it just stops recording without telling you. TV doesn't work from antenna -- only cable or VCR. Most of my home videos is says are copyrighted! HP Support hasn't got a clue as to why this is.

Everything on here seems to be subscription. Buy this. Buy that. Buy buy buy. All the junk programs take a while to remove but, it can be done. HP will remove ALL Norton software if you only want to remove the Anti-virus. Recovery manager won't bring it back without a full up reinstall that removes everything you've done up to date!

Absolutely no FAX capability and no 3rd party package available. If you are like most people, you need to send or get a fax now and then. Not here.

Most of my expensive and existing software won't run on Vista. From basic programs to advanced professional software, expect to have to repurchase Vista versions even though there is nothing wrong with your NT or XP stuff.

Absolutely zero documentation. You have to Call HP support for every little step in learning this thing and getting it to work. However, that is usually a waste of your time.

When you call HP support you get "I can't help you", lies like the HDMI output is really an S-video input!, "No.", more lies, "It doesn't do that", a few more lies... This will be the second HP I've had to return because it just doesn't do what a multi-media box needs to do. HP support is basically worthless. I have 3 tickets open where they were going to call back in 2-3 days. That was 2 months ago. Asking for an update results in a waste of your time.

Then, there is the finger pointing. The vendor says call HP. HP says call Microsoft. Microsoft says to call HP. HP says call the vendor.....
