Small, but just as good as a larger laser printer
Pros:
Quick printing, Takes up very little desk space, reliable.
Cons:
Sometimes takes more than 1 sheet of paper but there is a fix.
The Bottom Line:
Overall the printer is fast, quiet, and reliable. The output is very clear and sharp, and I've had only 1 problem with it (multiple feeds), which HP fixes for free.

I have had this HP LaserJet 6L printer for at least 2 years now, and I have had virtually no problems with it.
The printer is an upright LaserJet, which is convenient because it is much easier to refill the paper when compared to the standard, large laser printers. I print something almost every day, whether it be for work, or school (I am a university student), and a single toner cartridge lasts anywhere from 6-9 months, and it is very easy to install. I have worked in the IT industry for 5 years, and this printer is as reliable as they come. Also, the printer is very quiet.
It works with all of the operating systems that I have ever had, including Microsoft Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, and XP. Yes, I have had them all! The text that is printed is very sharp and dark, and I would prefer text printed by my printer over an Inkjet printer any day. Even the color pictures and graphics that I print out (which print out in grayscale) look decent... after all they are in black and white... and gray.
The printer was a gift, and I did not receive any special software with it, but the device drivers were always very easy to install. The computer does not have network functionality, but you can use it over a network by connecting it to a pc through the parallel port and simply sharing the printer over the network (if it is a Windows network).
I use this printer at home, but I have relatives and friends that use them at their businesses, and they have never complained about the printer. (Note: I should know, because they come to me for all of their computer questions/problems!)
The only con that I can think of with this printer is that after years of use, the printer feeds more than one sheet of paper in at a time. This is caused by a hardening of the separation pad that came with the printer. When multiple papers feed in, the result is
annoying paper jams! Thankfully, it only happens once in a while, and HP is aware of this (and I just ordered a free "separation pad kit" which was designed specifically for this problem). Because of this small problem, I cannot give this printer 5 out of 5 stars, but I am quite happy with its performance otherwise.
