Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 2100M

I have always been lucky with Hewlett-Packard products. I am writing this review on a HP laptop that I have owned for about a year and it runs great.

I have also written other reviews about HP products, one a CD writer which has never failed yet and one is about another printer I own and that I am very satisfied with.

This is a commercial unit that is installed in one of our cafes. We use it mostly for larger print jobs. For what it lacks in speed it makes up in dependability.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The HP LaserJet 2100M is a laser printer. It will operate with Windows and DOS systems.

The dimensions of this printer are; 401/2 centimeters wide, by 23 centimeters deep, by 42 centimeters high. With these dimensions you can understand why it is considered a commercial printer.

If this printer has one drawback, it is that its very noisy when compared with others. But aside from that I find no flaws with it.

A toner cartridge will cost about $175.00 and will be good for 5,000 pages of print.

This printer will accept all types of paper to include envelopes, transparencies, labels, and card stock.

FEATURES

The Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 2100M has the following features.

- A laser printer that will print 10 pages per minutes.
- It will operate on Windows, DOS and Mac
-The standard memory is 8 MB and it can be up-graded to
40 MB
- The standard interfaces are parallel and infrared.
- The tray will hold as many as 250 sheets of paper.

The following interfaces are optional, Ethernet and Token local talk.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

The HP 2100m laser printer is a little more expensive than most printers are but as far as I am concerned it is well worth the price.

If there is one word I can use to describe this printer it is dependability. It runs smooth and never fails.

For anyone who needs a commercial printer, this one is recommendable.
