great new printer!

by   catladyfromnpt ,  Aug 25, 2002
Pros: Great price, easy installation and it prints fast!
Cons: none at all!
The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this printer to anyone looking for a reasonably priced printer
Review: I recently got tired of fighting with the old Lexmark printer I had and decided it was time to get a new one. I'd had an Office Max gift card that I'd had sitting around for awhile, so took a ride there one day to see what they had in a reasonable price...

Pros: beautiful print quality, very easy to install and use, good options, no jams
Cons: none so far
The Bottom Line: Buy one...great quality, great price, lots of options, very easy to use and its far quieter than my last one!
Review: I'm running win ME (which has problems with almost everything) and I just got this printer. I was a little concerned that the quality wouldn't be very good due to the price but I am very impressed with it. The colors are beautiful, quality is great,...

HP printer for $20 after mail in rebate

by   agoyal ,  Oct 29, 2003
Pros: Cheap - cost $20 after rebate
Cons: no black ink cartridge supplied
The Bottom Line: HP quality for under $20 including the cable!
Review: Office Max has them for $49.95 less a mail in rebate for $30 so my net cost was $20. The printer includes a USB cable too for that price! I just needed a printer for casual color use so this will be great. I already have a laser printer for...

Review: Now,

If you're going to 'rent' a printer, this should be the one!

by   isewell ,  Sep 24, 2002
Pros: HP quality, never jams, quiet, nice photo output
Cons: No low-ink indicator, high cartridge costs, mediocre driver
The Bottom Line: An excellent printer for casual users. Great paper handling and print quality, bargain basement price, and very reliable.
Review: Almost all printer manufacturers are moving to a pricing model where they almost give away the printer, and make money on selling their ink. (Lexmark started this fine tradition) For low-use needs, I have been extremely happy with the 825C.

A worthy nominee printer for a starter?

by   lavoisier ,  Feb 16, 2002
Pros: Affordable, high quality colors, laser quality blacks.
Cons: Mediocre Support and Warranty, high ink costs, black ink sold separately, USB only.
The Bottom Line: If you're considering a high quality printer without the costs, the DeskJet 825c is really your choice for great printouts, if you don't mind the support and warranty.
Review: For those who are frustrated at the quality of the low cost printers, you know how painful it is to really pay for extra high ink prices or that you have to swap cartridges whenever you need to use color or black. But no more of the sacrifices with the...

I've been using a variety of printers for a long time. The HP line of printer had always impressed me with their excellent print quality and great paper handling abilities. But, when I look at this $50 dollar printer, I got...
