Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer, A Great Solution To Your Printing Needs!

The Bottom Line: Good little printer, not too expensive, great print quality!
I have been somewhat jinxed when it comes to printers in my office at work. I had previously been more or less forced to use Epson printers to be compatible with Macs but changes in the last few years have me on a PC now. When I needed a new printer last year, I didn't have to think twice about the brand. I knew I didn't want another Epson, so I chose a mid-range Hewlett Packard model, the DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer.
Design
The Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer is a very modern looking machine. It looks great in a black and silver combination styling. It has a nice compact design that takes up minimum room on your desk. The unit measures about 17 inches in width by 6 inches in height and about 15 inches in depth.

The Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer comes with the 5550 InkJet Printer, power cord, HP 56 Black toner cartridge, HP 57 Tri-Color toner cartridge, reference guide for PC and Mac, poster set-up guide for both PC and Mac, software for PC and Mac, additional software and internet links.
Set Up
Setting up the Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer was very simple. The software installed quickly and my printer was ready to use in less than 15 minutes.

My Work Affair With The HP 5550 Inkjet Printer
I have to admit that I'm very satisfied with the Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer. It has served me well in the last year and continues to give me good service. I mainly use this printer for printing business documents in both black & white and color. This printer rarely jams but if it does, it is very easy to clear, hit reset button and resume your work.
Print quality is super defined and clear giving a neat appearance. Color definition is also good. Toner cartridges are not as expensive as some. The black costs around $24 and the color cartridge around $32.
The Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer is a versatile printer. You can print business documents, photos, envelopes, cards, transparencies, labels and even iron on transfers on this machine.
Final Thoughts And Recommendation
I highly recommend the Hewlett Packard DeskJet 5550 InkJet Printer. It does a great job for small printer with a low pricetag. If you need a good printer for personal use, a home office or small to medium business office, this printer will serve your needs. I give this little printer 5 Stars!
