Business quality in at your home service

by   badbonz0007 ,  Jul 31, 2007
Pros: Very to use, state of the art good quality, not very expensive.
Cons: Have not found any at this time.
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend this to everyone that I know for the up to date product that it is.
Review: Let me tell you a story about how we came to purchase this particular model. It all started out because of the paper. I did not know that each different type of printer can be quite picky when it comes to the type of paper that you use. I found this out ...

HP Got it right and then some!

by   bennyzmom2 ,  May 20, 2007
Pros: 10 months of SUPERB printing and not one jam! Low ink usage.
Cons: no auto document feeder. Less than 50 sheet paper tray.
The Bottom Line: THE printer every home user or small business user should have. I've used it for more than 8 months at work and have never seen better/faster prints without problems.
Review: I've stayed away from HP for quite a while, since I am a very intensive "graphics/photo" person, particularly at work, where I have this printer. I tended to lean more toward Canon, which I've always had excellent results from for home use (after trying ...

High value, low cost.

by   ccurvin ,  Apr 28, 2007
Pros: All the little 'extras'. Bluetooh, wireless, large LCD, ease of use.
Cons: It wasn't free? No ADF option. Can't run both wired and wireless at same time.
The Bottom Line: Highly recommend for photo or document printing. Not the fastest ever, if you want that get laser.
Review: The HP PhotoSmart printer series is an extremely high value. It has been pretty much since its inception. However, it has typically been less of a bargain due to its much higher cost than the non-PhotoSmart equivalent. Finally, price meets value with ...

A good printer, but with a few quirks unique to HP.

by   diogynes ,  Mar 5, 2008
Pros: Excellent prints and photos. Simultaneous Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability. Good small-office or home printer.
Cons: Costly ink. Non-refillable cartridges. Not good for a lot of fax, scan, or copy work.
The Bottom Line: Good printer. Expensive ink. Non-refillable cartridges. Good for infrequent fax, scan, copy work. Good photo quality. Poor recent HP product reliability prevents me from recommending it.
Review: Overall, this is a solid printer that does what it is supposed to do - print reasonably good photos and excellent business graphics. As others have mentioned, the printer uses HP cartridges that contain a computer chip to sense when the cartridge is out ...

Auto Set To Waste Ink and Force You To Buy New HP Cartridges

by   waltereggars ,  Feb 29, 2008
Pros: It functions well and does what it promises.
Cons: If you wish to use refill cartridges it will make your life miserable.
The Bottom Line: It works fine but I won't buy HP printers anymore because they regularly hard program their printers to waste ink and give you misery if you use refills.
Review: The function of the machine is just fine. I have no problems with how it works. HP has a nasty habit of programming their printers to force you to buy HP refills and pay for customer support. 1) The printer will automatically print a test page every ...

HP C7180, Never got it going...

by   okelidokeli ,  Dec 4, 2007
Pros: Still haven't experienced a pro.
Cons: Does not work. (times 2)
The Bottom Line: I cannot give a positive recommendation until HP gives me a working piece of equipment. HP: I want a refund.
Review: First one I got destroyed each piece of paper I put in there. After about 2 hours on the phone with the wonderful HP tech support people (in one of their foreign outsourced tech centers)and running multiple tests the end result was that my machine was ...

Terrible connectivity, terrible software

by   johnpettus ,  Nov 29, 2007
Pros: Has wireless connectivity which works sometimes
Cons: Expensive, anti-consumer ink policies, terrible software
Review: I bought this because I needed an all in one solution for school, and I wanted wireless connectivity. The wireless connection constantly drops in and out. It slowly, and only with average quality. The ink tanks are VERY expensive and don't last long at ...

Shocking connectivity with network

by   adinham ,  Oct 9, 2007
Pros: Has very nice printing ability when it worked - only once!
Cons: Everything about the software, networking features and scan to PC features!
Review: A great printer this would be if it would actually scan to my networked computers in various formats which it won't do and also if the HP software would actually recognise it. Also, if it would actually connect to my PCs properly, that would be a good ...
