Hewlett Packard LaserJet 3600n Printer

This printer prints nothing like the previous model hp laser-jet 3550
which I happily owned until a sensor went bad 4 months out of warranty.

The 3550 Has perfect color match to my screen without any work. Vibrant colors, sharp edges & line art strait out of the box.

This new 3600n, according to an hp rep, "has more wax in the toner."
They were trying to do something, I don't know what, but what we get are
gray blacks rougher more pixally art?washed out colors, poor quality line
art. . .

The text isn't bad, but it's not nearly as dark as it used to be.

I bought two in one day because the first one was a defect, said "cartridge not
engaged" even though it certainly was.


Also, the printing slows down after the first few pages. Just printing text from a pdf I got 10 pages a minute not 17!
