Disappointing

The Bottom Line: I recommend HP fix the not really 600dpi vertical problem and redo software for 800x600 use. If they do that, then buy this printer, if they don't, then don't buy.
Review: Up front it seems HP is being responsive to customer backlash against having to pay for a new printhead everytime the ink runs out on an inkjet printer.

Doesn't seem like a plastic toy. It really prints with authority. Surprising for any...

Caveat Emptor (Is there an echo in here?)

The Bottom Line: Buy a different HP model. The number of people with the bad print head issue is legion. This cantankerous boat anchor should be recalled.
Review: While the HP K550 has outstanding print quality and is blazingly fast, very poor quality control, bungling customer service and major design flaws render it a failure.

Awesome printer UPDATE: COMPLETE JUNK

The Bottom Line: If this was sold as a boat anchor, it would probably get great reviews.
Review: Firstly I must say I'm amazed at the negative reviews of this printer, perhaps there was a bad batch as one review mentioned because I have been using mine for months and done thousands of prints so far with no problem at all.

Good Printer...Bad Support

Review: I bought this printer in December 2006 and have used it for about a month. I got the model with the second paper tray, duplex option and network card (K550dtn). Very fast, good print quality and not one paper feed problem yet.

HP Officejet Pro K550 - bought 3 - returning 3

Review: I purchased 3 of these printers thinking they would be an upgrade to our current HP printers. Wrong! They Jam, tear, and otherwise damage the paper. Talked to HP and of course it was my setup, and not their printer.

Horrible!

Review: Worked out of the box for about 200 copies. Black Yellow cartridge goes bad repeatedly. Updated firmware around 240 copies. Worked for about 100 copies, then firmware corrupted.
