Nice overall for novice HT viewers, but not sure if worth the money
Pros:
Easy setup, nice design, good picture overall
Cons:
Fan noise, colors slightly off
The Bottom Line:
Look for something quieter if you plan to put this on your coffee table.

I have had this projector on loan from a friend for about a month, and so far, I think it's pretty nice. Since this is the first projector that I've ever used, I have nothing to compare this to.
Setup was a snap- it took me less than 10 min go get it plugged into my DVD player the very first time I used it.
Last night I was comparing the picture colors to my 10 year old CRT TV, and I found that skin tones were too yellow on the screen. I tried using the color adjustments on the projector, but that didn't help much. Friends who have come over to watch DVD's say the picture is great, though.
My wife and I don't really notice any RGB pixelation that some people complain about with DLP projectors.
Our biggest complaint is the fan noise. The projector is on the coffee table in front of our sofa, so we do have some trouble hearing dialogue during soft scenes. But we are running the audio through a 2 speaker stereo system, so that might be helped with a center channel speaker. Also, if the projector were mounted on the ceiling, I don't think I'd hear the fan at all.
When I buy my own projector, I think I'll look for something quieter.
Sorry I can't offer any comparisons to other projectors, but I hope you find this review somewhat helpful.
