I Love This Screen

I bought this Hewlett Packard Compaq WF1907 (Gray) LCD Monitor . I bought a new computer and this was the monitor that came with the computer. You can buy this monitor separately for around $200.00. I bought this at Wal-Mart,it was cheapest at this store. You can also buy this monitor at Circuit City.


The monitor is grey and black. The back of the monitor is all black and has the word Compaq written halfway to the top middle of the monitor. Eight vents are at the top back of the monitor. The built in speakers are on each side of the monitor. The speakers are about 12 inches high and 2 inches wide. These are integrated speakers with a slim profile. I find that the speakers are not loud enough for my husband,so we hooked up another set so he could hear better. I will admit they are a little on the soft side. The speakers have a volume button on the right bottom side of the monitor. You will also find the menu button, and auto select.


The monitor sits on a pedestal stand that brings it off the table about three inches. This is just the right height so I don't have to bend my neck.

The screen is about 19 inches not including the speakers. The height of the monitor is 12 inches. This is great I love this screen. This is a wide screen flat panel monitor. My other monitor was small and took up so much of the desk, because the back stuck out so far. This is a flat screen and it is only about 1 inch deep. I really like all the extra room for my desk. This is a real space saver. I really like the slim profile.


The monitor is certified for windows vista and is compatible for ease of use. This also enhances security on PCs by running the windows vista system.


The size of the Hewlett Packard Compaq WF 1907 (Gray) LCD Monitor makes it so much easier for me to read. This monitor is like day and night compared to the old one.
Even the clock at the top of the screen is big for me to read. This is a LCD monitor which means liquid crystal display. This screen is what is called a TFL thin -film transistor screen. This is wonderful for people who have a hard time seeing,this is one sharp picture. This screen has vibrant beautiful colors,and clear images. I really like the high resolution that gives the sharper images for beautiful graphics. My kids are all happy that I finally came out of the dark ages. I'm like a kid with a new toy.I really love this monitor.

I would have to say the monitor is attractive. All my grand kids like it because it is wider than their screen at home. They love to play their games using this monitor.


The monitor is very easy to keep clean. I like to clean the monitor to take off any dust and dirt, I don't want any build up. Dirt and dust can cause components to overheat. I just use a clean dry cloth to dust the computer case and the monitor. Never use water on the monitor screen. If I should have a spill it is recommended to use rubbing alcohol and a lint-free cloth.

There is a monitor power light on the very right bottom corner of the Hewlett Packard Compaq WF 1907 (Gray)LCD Monitor . If the power light is not green the monitor screen will stay blank. When I got this monitor I checked the monitor connector and made sure it has no bent pins before plugging into the Compaq computer.

The Monitor comes with a, "Limited Warranty" for one year from the date of purchase. The warranty comes from the Hewlett Packard company the manufacturer of this product.
