HP12C Financial Calculator

If you are an MBA student or would like to pretend to be one, then the HP12C Financial Calculator is the one for you. You are almost looked down upon in school and the finance industry if you don't own one of these puppies. This seems to be a pretty great calculator. If you can figure out how to use all the functions, then it is even better. However, this is not an easy task. I am an MBA student and have been taught how to use PMT, IRR, NPV, and other financial calculations in school. However, I still don't know how to add, subtract, or toy with any of the other simpler calculations.

The user's manual is slightly helpful. The online manual which can be googled and downloaded is better because you can search for the function you want to use and find the exact page/keystroke example.

Overall, this is a very powerful tool if you know how to use it. I am not that great with it, but it has been very helpful in my finance classes. As a loyal TI user, I was a bit hesitant about it because of the price and the fact that it isn't TI. With that being said, it's always better to go for more functions than you think you need than to miss them when you actually need them.
