I have had a great time using this product. It is very easy to install, works just as good as having a serial port on your laptop. I wish my laptop had a serial port because if you forget to bring this adapter you no longer have this capability but that is a given.
I bought this product because I need it for work. I program multiple boxes suchs as routers, switches, and other equipment where having a serial port is mandatory.
I love this product because it is so easy to use. Once you get it installed, and figure out which COM port you are on it works very well. The computer you are talking to can't tell that you are using a USB adapter. It works very fast on baud rates of 9600, 19200, 32000 with almost no lag due to the conversion of signal. It was quite simple to install once you figure out what COM port you are on because if you don't you will never be able to use this product. Just right click on my computer, then go to hardware, then device manager, and select USB and see what port you are on.
I hate how the cable is so long, because it makes this cord dangle around, and makes it easy for it to get pulled out. I wish there was more instructions on setting it up although it is quite simple. It needs to have a more secure way of connecting to your computer so it can't just get pulled out.
