Amazing piece of home theatre equipment
Pros:
Controls EVERYTHING. Sturdy construction and easily programmed if you're technologically inclined. Very classy look.
Cons:
A little on the pricey side. Bumps easily off charging cradle.
The Bottom Line:
If you want to eliminate all other remote controllers and REALLY, REALLY only have one remote on your coffee table, this is the one to buy.

Author's Review
After doing a ton of research on which universal to buy I settled on this one versus the Logitech Harmony 720, which is nearly identical to this unit, but has one less set of buttons next to the LCD screen...3 sets versus 4 for this unit. I have a great deal of experience in techy stuff so setting up this unit was a breeze for me. However, getting it set up to use, and getting it programmed EXACTLY how you want it to operate can be two entirely different animals. Yes, the website is easy to use and will walk you through the basics of setting this baby up quite easily. However, once the basics are done, you will find that the different pages available on the LCD screen now show you EVERY CONCEIVABLE option available from each of the pieces of equipment that you programmed into it. Let's be honest here. Does anyone use all of the options on their home theatre receivers, televisions, DVD players, etc? I sure don't. So, after spending the first half hour setting up the basics, I then spent parts of the whole next day on the website tweeking the settings, eliminating a bunch of settings, re-naming my equipment and downloading said changes to the remote probably 8-10 times so that the remote settings are now absolutely NEAR perfect. Will I be making more changes? Possibly, when I find something that I forgot to include or I find that I included something that I don't really need. Bottom line is this. If you're somewhat of a techy and really enjoy playing with this thing to get it to where you want it to be, this is the most amazing remote controller you'll ever see. On the other end of the spectrum, if you're at all intimidated by technology, stay away from this unit, as well as the Logitech Harmony line, which operates exactly the same way. One last thing and this is probably obvious to everyone by now. If you're still living in the nineteenth century and don't have access to a computer and hence the Harman Kardon website, don't waste your money. You won't be able to use this beauty AT ALL!!!
