Author's Review

I picked up a Handspring Deluxe reconditioned almost 3 years ago as a way of keeping myself on track. Setting reminders and keeping appointments were crucial for my job. Having a limited budget, the Visor Deluxe made perfect sense and 3 years later, it still does.

Do I wish I had color? Yes. Would a writing an e-mail in HTML be more effective than plain text? Sure. But these are optional for me. The basic programs, like calendar, tasks, e-mail, and a few handy utilities have carried this unit far. By using Intellisync, I can synch with my Outlook at work, although the synch hangs on occasion due to a bug.

Finally, my greatest fear was dropping the thing or breaking it. No fear now. Captain Klutzo here dropped the thing in a parking lot in the middle of a thundershower. I came back 10 minutes later after realizing it was missing and the thing still worked after drying it out.
