New and Improved

I had the 47114 version of this coffee pot and loved it - except for one thing: It leaked when coffee grounds got into the brewed coffee area (or pot as I like to call it). The spout spring finally gave out and the last couple of pots I had coffee leaking out of the pot.

So I went out and bought another BrewStation. The same things I loved about the 47114 still remain the same with this model.

It's easy to clean as I can pop the coffee filter holder and the pot into the dishwasher and they clean up rather nicely.

I like that the pot area is covered on the out side with a nice metallic fascia. The previous models were made of plastic and would stain after sustained use. Time will tell on this model, but so far, it looks like the staining will be kept to a minimum because the type of plastic they're using this time doesn't show the potential for staining - it is a dark brown plastic.

This model has an automatic timer which is nice so you can set up the pot to have coffee ready in the morning. It's also nice to have a clock showing the current time all the time.

Again, the hot plate keeps the coffee nice and hot. The hot pad has a timer in it which turns off. This is a nice feature as you will avoid getting that nasty burnt coffee smell in your home/office. If for some reason you aren't ready for the coffee pot to go off, you can simply hit the on button again, and the hot plate will continue to keep your coffee hot - with out burning it. That's a huge plus in my book.

Finally, the most important feature of this pot is the filter surrounding the spout. This is important because the earlier model did not have one of these and you would occasionally come back to your coffee pot only to find the contents of the pot leaking all over your counter top. This model has the filter with will avoid those mishaps, plus giving you the bonus of not getting any grounds in your cup.

The dispensing of coffee is what really makes this pot nice. It's a one-handed operation.
