That Crazy Mike Myers...

Halloween is one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. Whenever I see a horror film, regardless of whether it was good or bad, I always wind up thinking "well, it sure wasn't Halloween". The amazing music, the classic plot, everything about it is just everything you could ask for in a horror movie and more.

The story takes place in Haddonfield, Illinois where one night, little 5 year old Michael Myers grabs a kitchen knife and dices his older sister into much smaller pieces than most people prefer to be in. After spending many years in a psychiatric facility under the close supervision of Dr. Loomis ( Donald Pleasance ), Mike makes a run for it and escapes.

Naturally he heads back to his old town to hunt down and kill his one remaining sister ( Jamie Lee Curtis ). Of course many other people get in the way of him completing his task, so they are annihilated with ease. But who will win this battle of good an evil? Here is a hint... after viewing this movie you should check out Halloween 2,3,4,5, the curse of Michael Myers, and H2O.

The thing that separates Halloween from the rest of the movies on the shelf is hard to put into words. For one thing, the theme song is incredible. It is by far the spookiest and eeriest music I have ever heard in my entire life and it gives me goose bumps just to think about it. The scenes where the music is being played and the suspense is being built are just untouchable. No modern day technology can provide as much fear as good old fashion horror.

Overall I highly recommend this film for any who loves horror movies... although anyone who can call themselves a horror film fan should have already seen this one! Its also great to watch with a date one stormy night. Its guaranteed cuddling action, like money in the bank, trust me.
