Although the very first Halloween was the one to give us nightmares and scares of the century, this movie gives you the same level of fear as the first Halloween movie. The fun comes right off the back of part 4. When I seen it, I wasn't expecting anything better than part 4, or earlier versions, but I was happy to discover that this movie had a lot of action and screams that kept me on the edge of my seat. The story goes pretty plain at first, Jamie lives in a mental home for kids that have issues, guess what kind of issues. She is not doing too well because she can never undo the visions of seeing the evil of Michael. Plus she knows that he is back in town for another Halloween, and not for trick or treating. This Halloween version has some of the most riveting scenes of all the Halloweens of past. Once again we are led to root for Jamie and her sister to keep themselves alive as they are stalked by Mike. Others are wondering and hoping that she will somehow DIE and not return. That will end the fun, or maybe just begin it. The acting is so-so, but the script is very well written. It leaves you waiting for the next one, even though we know what happens anyways.
