The washer is a very good one. Water extraction is so good you can air dry the clothes indoors.
Use Tide 'HE' soap powder 1/3 of measuring cup.
You must balance the load -- very important. Say you have 4 shirts and 2 pairs of pants. Lay in 2 shirts on bottom of drum then 2 pants then on top of that the remaining 2 shirts.
Don't fool with the filter trap at the bottom of the machine, leave it alone.
After you put the soap in the hopper, initially turn the water on very slow at first. Wait 10 seconds then turn it up to normal volume. This will prevent some water from coming out the soap drawer.
I have mine since Feb. '03 -- the washer is excellent.
If you balance the load it stays still even during it's very fast spin cycle.
If you must have the machine on a rug -- get a piece of 3/4" finished plywood of a suitable size and put the machine on that.
