With no discrete place to put a dryer vent, no drain for a washer, and space as a commodity in my 1941 townhome, I settled on the Haier all-in-one and I have not been disappointed. Some reviews say it is not durable, but I've yet to have a problem in the 1.5 years I've owned mine. I have a little squeak now and it is somewhat off balance and shakes at the start of the spin cycle, but helped me avoid paying a lot of money to install a special drain for a washer (it drains into the sink drain like a dish washer) and a vent for a dryer (it doesn't vent and is safer in this respect). It does wrinkle clothes, especially if you use large loads, but do a load every day, and take the clothes out when the are a little damp and hot, and they are ready to got the next day (almost) wrinkle free. I'd definitely opt for the Haier over a more expensive model despite it being made in China and lacking a correctly translated instruction manual. It does the job.
