Like a breath of fresh cool air

Living in the South, we have a need to keep cool almost year round. Except for a few months in the Winter when it gets chilly, we spend more money on electric bills cooling the house than we do heating it. We have had the same old air conditioner in the window for the past several years, and it was time to update to one that was more energy efficient and did not make as much noise. The Haier HWR05XC7 model was on sale recently at Walmart for under one hundred dollars, so we purchased it immediately. In fact, I think we may have gotten the last one at the Walmart store where we shopped. The price of this air conditioner has since gone up.

Since we have been using this air conditioner, we have noticed a small decrease in the electric bill. Although it is not a top of the line efficiency unit, is a very good buy for what we paid. It has different settings to adjust the amount of coolness we need, and we can turn the vents in different directions if we want to aim more of the cool air in a specific direction. It is now a pleasure to sleep, because this unit works much better than the old one we had, and I don't have to throw the covers off of me in the middle of the night. In fact, I often have to get up to lower the settings, because it sometimes gets too cold.

This air conditioner will probably go on sale again in the near future, so you may find it worthwhile to pick one up. It definitely helps me keep my cool!
