If you want a toy then buy. If you want a phone then don't buy.

I have had my HTC Diamond Touch Pro for roughly nine months. Previously I had the Treo650 and Treo700wx. When I first got my HTC Diamond Touch I had to return the first two of them due to defects. The third one worked better. The HTC Diamond Touch Pro has some very nice features such as being able to access weather information very quickly. I also like the internet access. The graphics are beautiful. The bluetooth works quite well with a Jawbone. I never had much success with bluetooth on either of my Treos.

Now for what I don't like. The battery life is almost non-existant. I can get about one one-hour phone call before the phone is dead. Sometimes it decides to re-charge and other times it doesn't. Just yesterday I had it on the car-charger for 2 hours, and all it did was get extremely hot; it never charged. Standby time is really only around 18 hours (provided you don't actually use the phone to talk during those 18 hours). There are times when the phone won't ring, but I get the notification that someone just left a voice-mail. (I had that problem with the Treo700wx too). I liked the concept of a "favorites" for phone numbers by pulling up a list of pictures (similar to the way iPhone does it). But it is very difficult to navigate through the pictures and I seem to always pick the wrong person by accident. I use my phone for both personal and for work. I have found myself waxing nostalgic for my old Nokia that allowed me to talk forever and had standby time of days.
