His story
Date of Review: Dec 13, 1999
The "HIStory" album is a compilation of Michael Jackson's songs throughout his career. From "Off the wall to Dangerous," it has the best songs off his albums. Some songs included are:
-Thriller
-Bad
-The way you make me feel
-Heal the world
-Smooth criminal
-Scream (duet with Janet Jackson)
-Childhood (the theme song from "Free Willy")
-They don't care about us
And many other hits that took the world by storm. Most of these songs were big hits at the time they were released.
The CD consists of 2 disks. The first disk has Michael Jackson songs from the earlier years and up to the last album before "HIStory" which was "Dangerous."
The second disk is a collection of news songs, written by Michael Jackson himself and some written by people like Paul McCartney & John Lennon for instance who wrote Come Together. Also R. Kelly with You Are Not Alone.
Featured on the the HIStory almum is a rear duet between Janet Jackson and Michael Jackson called Scream.
Really the only bad thing about the album is the amount of new material written by Micheal Jackson. I would have liked to see a few more songs by the artist himself.
In my opinion the HIStory album is a great buy and is a must have in a good CD collection.
