Not Recommended--Unreliable

I bought the Soleus HGW-308 space heater to keep my baby's bedroom warm for cold winter nights.  It worked great for about 6 months.  I liked that I could set the thermostat to the temperature I wanted, rather than the low to high dial that many heaters have.  The "cool touch" feature is nice in theory, though not really accurate and a misleading claim.  The heater cycles on and off and it gets too hot to touch when it is heating up.  It is not good to have on when children are around if you are using it on the floor. 
Now it has suddenly died.  It beeps when I turn it on, and there is a clicking sound like it used to make when the heating cycle began, but it has completely stopped heating up.  For the price, I expected much better performance--less expensive space heaters I have purchased have been much more reliable and lasted years.  I am most disappointed.  No wonder my baby has come down with a cough: he had to sleep in a freezing room!
Customer service was not helpful in the least.  I did not keep my receipt and now have no recourse.  I will not purchase any more Soleus products.  Buyer beware.
