greatest game yet

The Bottom Line: I think that if you like first person shooters then buy it, it is a must have for all FPS gamers
I bought half life 2 the first day that it came out. After all of the hype and how good the first one was, how could I not buy it?
The install took forever and registration is a real pain in the... but it is well worth the wait. The game starts off with an introduction kind of like the first except this one has a creepy kind of beginning with a man telling you to wake up.
The control of the game is just like any other typical FPS I don't think you can really improve on it any more.
The environment on the game is like no game before it. The debris on the ground can be picked up and moved. The sound is amazing; I have never heard sound this good in a game yet. If there is a shot behind you it will put that shot behind you. The environment means so much in this game. With all of the exploding barrels and the puzzles that are in the environment.
The AI is also very smart. It will take cover from you and when you walk around corners they will even roll explosive barrels down stairs at you. The AI is even smarter for counter strike source (included with the half life 2 game)
They will wait for you to take a corner they will also wait for you sometimes to come after them.
The weapons in the game are also very cool. By far my favorite weapon in any game yet. It is the gravity gun. This gun will pick up and throw stuff in the environment. Like those barrels that I was telling you about. This gun will pick them up and then throw them where you aim it.
The graphics I feel are not as good as doom 3 but the game is far better though then DOOM 3. This game has taken the FPS in a new direction again. The modding community has a new engine to play with and new features.
About the only problems I have with the game is a stuttering problem that was with the game. This problem is now fixed.
Another problem I have with the game is STEAM. This program makes it so you have to have multiple copies of the game in order to play over a LAN connection. This I do not enjoy. But that is my only issues.
Bottom line half life is my favorite FPS out there.
