Author's Review
Long considered the Playboy magazine of phallic fantasizers, this fanzine combines wild-eyed fanaticism with state-of-the-art tech writing and hard-eyed expertise to give all gun lovers of every persuasion something to peruse in every issue. Face it, they come from all walks of life: Bambi killers (the rank-and-file), ex-military, law enforcement, Constitutional rights activists, serial killers, professional criminals, and those (like me) who just want to have something handy when diplomacy fails. Guns are a way of American life, folks, and unless something goes seriously wrong with this country (yep, I'm with Jefferson and the boys), they'll always be with us, so let's just learn to live with them rather than find out what can happen without them.
For the Bambi set, there's always a few shots of some drooling idiot standing beside some poor critter who never even smelled the polecat. Thrill to diatribes of some bloodsucker who snuck up on his prey and bravely took its head off from 1,000,000 yards. Wow. Moving on, we've got articles for military guys that give you an idea what's going to give you that long-range advantage should another war or police action ever break out. For the law enforcer, there's usually some informative articles about the latest handguns that will balance the scales against some street punk who bought a serious piece and now thinks he's ten feet tall and bulletproof.
This is something we tend to lose sight of in all these gun issues. As the mag's editorials will point out, armed crime and teen guntoters are statistically increasing in ghetto areas that throw the national figures out of proportion. We have a right to defend ourselves against these marauders, and if this is taken away the whole country ends up like NYC where only the cops and criminals have guns to protect themselves with. Contrast this to places like Texas where people can still leave their doors unlocked at night and you see what I mean. The focus then shifts back to the streets where police need to have the same muscle as the gangstas they face. This magazine defends our Constitutional rights, promotes public awareness and familiarity with weapons for home defense, and champions the police officer's freedom of choice in selecting his own instrument of survival. From where I stand, this is a good magazine that this country shouldn't be without.
