Gun Dog is an excellent magazine as far as field dog magazines are concerned at this point. It is highly informative in regards to enlightening people about the sport of hunting with dogs, and it also provides some insight into the hidden world of Field Trials. Many people do not know of the degree of intelligence that their dog might possess until they see a field trial in person.

I highly recommend this magazine for starters in the world of hunting dogs especially pointers and retrievers.
