Guild Wars is a great play.....

by   suemccartin ,  Jul 8, 2005
Pros: Fairly easy to remember controls, adjustable camera angles, updates keep it interesting
Cons: Online play, fast connection necessary
The Bottom Line: Great graphics, every game different, variety of character classes, the variety of ways to play this game makes it fun for everyone.
Review: I was browsing at best buy at the new games and spotted this on the shelf. From the pictures on the box the graphics looked pretty impressive and the fact of the free online play was also very attractive (I just hope it continues to be free online play ...

Resin up that bow, Johnny.

by   keinleben ,  Mar 24, 2008
Pros: Good graphics, good gameplay algorithm, no daylight robbery. Fun for casual gamers.
Cons: A highly obsessive-compulsive game. We recommend responsible playing and self-moderation.
The Bottom Line: A very good game, designed with all levels of players in mind. Variety allows the player to go back and play again even after finishing.
Review: ...because if you lose, or even if you win, the Devil gets your soul. I'm not kidding, either. What we have here is the budget-conscious equivalent to World of Warcraft - the first game is just a one-time hit on your bankbook - usually around ...

Guild Wars: Your First Choice in MMORPGs

by   aesthete_ ,  May 21, 2008
Pros: No monthly fees, Making online friends, teamwork aspect, beautiful realistic graphics
Cons: May take over your life, maybe too graphic heavy for low spec. machines
The Bottom Line: Amazing graphics, fantastic game play, no monthly fees and only £14.99. What's not to love?
Review: I am somewhat of a Guild Wars veteran, as I've been playing for years so I hope I can provide you with a valuable opinion of this game. I bought the game when it first came out, on the recommendation of a friend, and I was really glad that I did. ...

Great Game for the Busy D&D'er

by   maccub ,  Jul 13, 2007
Pros: Price! NO Monthly fees! Great art and music. Rewards for growing characters. Holiday events!
Cons: Requires interaction. Limited to 20 levels per character. Easily spend lots of time on it.
The Bottom Line: Ease of play for a D&D style adventure game. Not overly complicated and I can start/stop when I want. Great background and score. Love NO ADDITIONAL FEES!
Review: Did you like D&D but can't find anybody to play? Do you have random hours that you are free but hard to find a decent group of people to play with? Do you like 'adventure/quest' games but don't like the idea of shelling out bucks each month for a ...

Guild Wars is FUN with NO MONTHLY FEE

by   oogabooga123 ,  Jun 21, 2005
Pros: Unique gameplay, No monthly fee, some beautiful environments
Cons: Can sometimes feel Hack n' Slashish, No REALLY long battles/quests
The Bottom Line: I would definitely recommend buying this game. The fact that you do not have to pay a monthly fee for this type of experience is enough for my vote.
Review: Guild Wars is one of those games that doesn't immediately grab you. Its the type of game where you constantly want to play for 10 more minutes. The story accomplishes what many games do not, it makes you feel like you only have a small way to go to ...

by   flasher410 ,  Feb 11, 2007
Pros: Runs great on dialup, infinite replayability, Strong PVP game. Titles, Events, Free Monthly Play.
Cons: Can be difficult to get into.
Review: I first started playing this game in June of '05. It was slow to get addicted, but once I learned the controls and camera movement I became a huge fan. I stopped playing for a while because I moved to a dial-up connection and instead of trying it, ...

Pros: No monthly fees, Great Graphics
