Nice improvement over the Mini 100PE
Pros:
Fits well in hand, rubberized finish Decent speaker. Fairly sensitivity for size. Excellent battery life.
Cons:
MW is average and will occasionally suffer from "birdies." Pouch is flimsey. No dial light. protruding antenna some drifting
The Bottom Line:
For the price and performace, I definitely recommend this radio. Great pocket portable for the money.

Author's Review
I initially stayed away from this radio because of the antenna "protrusion," figuring it wouldn't fit easily into my pocket. Well, it comes with a pouch with a belt loop.
I've had a number of Grundig Mini100s and while I like the portablility, they weren't very sensitive. The Mini 300 is a better radio on all bands and has a very decent speaker for its size. (Compare it to other quarter-sized speakers and I find this to have both fuller range along with decent loudness.)
Tuning is fast and furious, but after a short time, I've gotten used to landing on the desired frequency. This isn't a big problem on FM, but MW and SW can take a bit of patience.
The radio does drift on AM and SW, but I find that because it's usually in my hand, I haven't found this to be a problem for me. I've set the radio down on local FM stations and it stays exactly where I set it.
This radio will drive a decent set of headphones and play in stereo. There is no stereo / mono switch, the headphones activate stereo when plugged in. I have noticed some slight problems with clarity on certain fringe FM signals with both the speaker and any headset. Since I've found this true on more than one unit and headphones, it might be an amplifier issue.
This radio is perfect for a backback or hiking in the woods or anytime when a larger radio is innapropriate.
