Very Pleasantly Surprised!!!

I recently purchased this radio as a gift for father's day. I found that the radio received better reception than most "plug in types". After playing with Dad's I'm finding that I want to get one for myself. I would recommend this product to others. Too bad there aren't more products that you can just wind up.

The radio has kind of a cool military design. It can also be powered by AA batteries,(but why?) It takes about a minute to crank and you can listen for over an hour. The longer you crank the longer you listen. This radio also has a built in light so that you can find your way around in the dark. It has a regular tuning knob and also a fine tuning knob, which I have never seen before in another radio. Definitely gets great reception. This radio also comes with a nylon carrying case which will protect the radio from being dropped or scratched. Also has the Grundig name behind it, which means allot and was one of the major reasons I purchased this product. I think that anyone would be happy to get this for any occasion. Who wants to have to buy batteries?

I can't wait to see Dad's face light up on father's day when he sees the cool gadget I bought him.

Well Here's the update. Dad still has this radio and listens to it daily. It still works great and he only uses the built in crank to power it. Very durable and built to last.

Radio is still working. No problems at all with crank or rechargeable battery. He uses it almost every day.
