Chosen More Often

As a bartender my bar stocks about 10 different brands of Vodka. Grey Goose is by far the most called brand. Even though they know they're going to pay about double the price they will for house vodka and one martini will cost them about 1/3 of the price of the entire bottle, it is still chosen most often.

The bottle is very colorful and distinctive and most importantly it catches the eye. It is clear yet frosty.

It is 40% alcohol which means 80 proof. It is distilled using four different grains: Wheat, barley, corn and rye.

Most cheaper brand vodkas are a little bit harsh when taken as a shot or in a martini. Grey Goose goes down smooth and has a hint of citrus flavor.

The cost per bottle in most location for a 750ml bottle is anywhere from 25-30 a bottle.

A couple great recipes using this vodka would include:

A Grey Goose Martini: Fill a shaker with ice cubes, pour 3-4 ounces of Grey Goose ( depending on your size martini glass) splash the tiniest bit of dry vermouth depending on preference, shake and strain.

A Grey Goose Lemon Drop Martini: Fill a shaker with ice cubes, pour 3-4 ounces of Grey Goose, squeeze juice of a lemon shake and strain into a sugar rimmed martini glass.
