Poor Reliability for Soleus CFM-40

The Bottom Line: Purchasing a Soleus CFM-40 seems like a waste of money. You would expect a dehumidifier to last longer.
Review: I've had two Soleus CFM-40 dehumidifiers. Each one lasted about 7 months. If you purchase one, keep your receipt, the box and the packaging. There's a one year warranty. It cost me about $80 to have the first one packaged and shipped back through...

Fails after one year

Review: I've owned two of these units in the last two years and both failed to defrost themselves just after the one year warranty ran out. Chinese made JUNK. Buy something with a longer warranty.

The Bottom Line: Skip over most of the lower priced whirlpools, kenmores, and other big store "bargains". Go for the Soleus if you want quiet, efficient dehumidification.
