Very very pleased

After reading the reviews here I really wanted to buy this dehumidifier but no one locally carried it (I guess JC Penny does, but not for a reasonable price). Thus, I decided to buy the next best thing, according to other reviews here, and purchased a Fedders A7DH45B2A. I was pleased with how well the Fedders worked and had very good controls and flexibility (better than the Soleus). It was great with one exception - it was loud. Now, not nearly as loud as the dehumidifier that I replaced it with, but it was still louder than I wanted...

So I returned it to the local hardware store and mail ordered this Soleus CFM-40 from Air-N-Water.com for $176 after shipping. That was a bit more than I paid for the Fedders, but if it was going to be quieter, then I decided it was worth it.

I was NOT disappointed. You can hardly hear the Soleus and it removes moisture very quickly as well (I didn't do a time test so I'm not certain that it's as fast, but even if it's not, that's ok with me because it still removes the moisture to my desired level and is virtually unheard).

I am thankful for the reviews posted here that led me to return the other dehumidifier and mail order a Soleus.

To my friends out there - save yourself time and just order a Soleus!
