Pros: Efficient; handsome; well built; many features; super quiet; easy to maintain; priced right.
Cons: A bit awkward to carry & empty the tank.
The Bottom Line: There is a huge choice of units from many manufacturers but look no further than this brand for high efficiency, quietness, good looks and reasonable price.

Review: I had been using a Kenmore dehumidifier in my basement for about 5 years until it finally gave up the ghost. It was still running, but the compressor was not pulling any water out of the air. After shopping around for a replacement, I finally...

Pros: Extremely quiet Uses only 260 watts (High) Does a great job of removing moisture
Cons: Small: Fan stays running all the time (even when the compressor is off).
The Bottom Line: Skip over most of the lower priced whirlpools, kenmores, and other big store "bargains". Go for the Soleus if you want quiet, efficient dehumidification.

Review: We spent a long time researching dehumidifiers knowing that its size and noise would be very apparent in our relatively small living space. A dehumidifier is vital to us here in Western Oregon, where the humidity outside rarely goes below 90% in the...

Pros: Energy efficient; portable; relatively quiet
Cons: instructions only fair; no fan shutdown when tank full
The Bottom Line: Recommend for use as a room dehumidifier (not whole house) for occupied rooms because of lower noise level than other units.

Review: Needed a dehumidifier for the upstairs living area because family members like warmer temperatures and limit air conditioner use ... hence, humidity is high during the corn-growing season. Was interested in this unit because it has relatively low...

Pros: Small, very quite, low energy use.
Cons: 1st unit DOA, replacement poor performer, may be a second bad unit.
The Bottom Line: Certainly worth trying, 9 reviewers shouldn't be wrong, but after 2 units I find it a poor performer. Please read my review for details.

Review: After reading the reviews here I thought I found the perfect dehumidifier. What really attracted me was all the comments about how quite it is and it's low energy use. Well, it certainly is quite, but other than that I found noting to recommend it...

Pros: Quiet, low power consumption, seems to remove moisture quickly, easy to use
Cons: no lower wattage settings running unit, drainpan awkward if full (avoidable), wheels ineffective on carpet
The Bottom Line: This dehumidifier is quiet, efficient, and a solid performer. The unit works well. Controls are easy to operate. The drainpan complaints others have made I feel are easily avoidable.

Review: I have had my CFM-40 dehumidifier for 2 weeks now. It is very quiet and seems to remove the air moisture well. I have many trees outside and live in the Atlanta suburbs. This area is very humid due to the fact that Stone Mountain is about 5 miles...

Pros: Quiet, good price, works well.
Cons: Water collection tank VERY awkward.
The Bottom Line: I say you buy this! It's quiet, it works, and if you don't mind the trouble of dumping, in my opinion, it's worth it!

Review: My experience with this product is one of extreme pleasure. I purchased this dehumidifier because I had a problem on the lower level of my home. I live in a condo and my lower level is on a concrete slab. During the spring, fall, or whenever it...

Pros: QUIET...Quiet...quiet. Highly portable. Removes plenty of moisture, just as expected. 8+ months of satisfaction.
Cons: Nada. Due to some negative user reviews I bought the extended warranty.
The Bottom Line: Quiet and effective...what else would you want in a dehumidifier?

Review: I live in NH with a basement that is damp for three seasons. My previous dehumidifier was a 40 pint GE. It was extremely noisy, often cycled to "fan only" mode, and never seemed to really dry the basement area.

Pros: quite operation, works well on continuous run.
Cons: Sorry Warranty, Technical Support. Humidity level settings are useless. Customer Service people are clueless.
The Bottom Line: I would not buy this dehumidifier. Choose another brand that will service what they sell.
