Buyer Beware

I bought this product for around $900, and then paid another $1200 to have it professionally installed by my licensed AC guy. It has never worked properly. After the AC guy left it cooled for about 15 minutes. Then it would stop. I immediately contacted the company but got no response back after leaving several messages. The AC guy came back and determined that the electric board was malfunctioning and he said Soleus should replace it. Beware: Dealing with Soleus customer "support" has been one of the worst consumer experiences of my life. Try to get someone on the phone... I dare you. Try to get a returned phone call or email. I've been trying to get this problem resolved for the past 3 months... Yes... 3 months to no avail. After month 2 I finally got someone willing to send a new board out. I almost laughed out loud when they wanted to charge me $10 for shipping after all I'd been through. I agreed to this shipping charges but it never came. Another month went by and I got on the phone again (mind you you can never just get someone on the phone... you have to leave a message and they call you back in a week or so if/when they feel like it). This is NOT a company concerned with customer satisfaction. I'd be surprised if this company isn't going out of business soon. I'm ready to throw in the towel and buy a more reputable brand of A/C. But not before reporting this company to the BBB. I just wish this lesson wouldn't have cost me over $2000.
