Author's Review
I was going through my Columbia House Cd magazine, and I came across Richard Marx. I didn't know he had put out a greatest hits album. So I skim down and read the selections on the Cd, and I see Right here waiting for you, Now and forever, and a bunch of other songs I just LOVE to DEATH. So I went online and purchased this Cd.
When the darn thing finally gets to me, I immediately put it on, and the first song is "Don't Mean Nothing" and as soon as I hear the drums I just start dancing around. Then there is "Endless Summer Nights" and then "Now and Forever". He has all his best and a few new songs too. I loved the song "Angel's Lullaby" because he wrote it for his boys, and for me I have my son, and even tho he can be a real pain sometimes, I just listen to this song, and I'm reminded what "I was put here to do".
I especially like the song "Until I find You Again". And "Touch of Heaven" has a real nice beat to it. And we can't forget "Right Here Waiting For You". As the artist says himself, it IS his signature song.
Richard Marx as always sings with incredible feeling, and we hear just how much he loves his wife and his children...He has a talent for writing, and I even love the weird song "Hazzard". I'm still wondering if the guy in the song did do it. He has written an anecdote for every song, explaining why he wrote it, who he wrote it for...I like when he says his "voice is as clear as a 12 year old boy" for the song "Hold On To The Nights". "Thank God For Rasp!" Hahahaha...
This greatest hits album list is perfectly paced. No slow songs all jammed in one half and the upbeat in another. It starts off With "Don't Mean Nothing" and ends with "Right Here Waiting For You". Even if you are not a die hard fan, you should own this Cd...There IS a song for EVERYONE. I highly doubt anyone would find this Cd disappointing.
