Ready For 2 Pac?

Date of Review:  Mar 13, 2000
Review: Here's something that the radio used to play all day and all night, the greatest rapper 2 Pac has gun down back in mid '90s. After his death, there are more people started to listen to his raps, not because he's dead, but the lyrics in all of his...

This one's for my thugs

Date of Review:  Apr 18, 2003
The Bottom Line: Fairly comprehensive and thoroughly listenable, this album provides an excellent summary of one of the legends of hip-hop in the west coast.
Review: I was class of '95 in Northern California. Throughout my high school days, two musical artists were heard everywhere: Nirvana and 2Pac. White or black, the hood or the 'burbs, you would hear this. You may not have like it, but the sound permeated...

Review: (NOTE: Due to this being a double CD: This is very, VERY LONG review. So you may wish to have a breather half way through. I did try posting CD two as a separate review to make it easier on the eyes, but I CAN'T DO IT:( So I'm afraid this is the...

2Pac 101: An Introduction to Rap's Greatest Figure

Date of Review:  Jun 16, 2006
The Bottom Line: For casual listeners or those uninitiated into 2Pac's world, Greatest Hits is the record to pick up.
Review: Note: For my convenience and others, this review might contain some portions of other reviews from my 2Pac series.

Weighing his strengths and weaknesses as a rapper, I am not quite ready to bestow the "G.O.A.T." title upon 2Pac as so many...

2PAC On Point

Date of Review:  May 14, 2001
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend this cd to complete any rap collection. I feel that it is timeless and does an extremely good job of giving us 2Pac's best.
Review: 2Pac's greatest hits is a two disc collection of 25 of his greatest songs. There are his funky hits that you hear in the club and then there are his serious, memorable story telling songs.
2Pac is not a Puff Daddy. All of the beats you'll hear...

Essential for any rap fan.

Date of Review:  Jul 9, 2000
Review: This two disc set is probably the strongest collection of rap hits put together by any one artist that I have ever heard. Finding twenty five songs on an album that are all good is RARE! I'm not normally a big fan of Pac, but this album is really...

The life and death of a thug with a conscience

Date of Review:  May 31, 2002
The Bottom Line: 2pac was one of the most important, socially conscious and sensitive Gangster rappers and his greatest hits are essential listening.
Review: After Ice-T and N.W.A. had gained popularity in the late 80's, the way was paved for other members of the underground West Coast Hip-Hop community to break through with record deals. One of which was Tupac Shakur. A rapper with a poetic style to...

Still One of the Best CDs on Shelves Today

Date of Review:  Feb 14, 2002
The Bottom Line: I fully recommend "Greatest Hits" to anyone who can relate to the hardships of life; as Tupac communicates exacly what you want to hear.
Review: Tupac Amaru Shakur. When you hear the name, you think of the legend, the legacy, and the talent of the man. Greatest Hits. From the CD, you think of accomplishments of Tupac, not only during his career, but of the success story of his life itself...
