Pretty much the greatest

by   jf-gb ,  Apr 13, 2004
Pros: A great collection of songs from one of the best bands around.
Cons: few debatable inclusions. Should have been double Cd to include the other great songs
The Bottom Line: A great collection from a great band but only for new comers
Review: Ah the inevitable best of Cd, that bringer of much controversy and discussion. It appears now that any successful band has to delve into its past and provide one of these for any casual fan who hasn’t yet discovered the wonders of their music. Or ...

ONE OF MY FAVORITE ALBUMS OF 2003

by   dance_rules06 ,  Dec 28, 2003
Pros: The whole CD
Cons: They forgot "Around the World", "Love Rollercoaster", and "Can't Stop".
The Bottom Line: Buy the CD. You won't regret it.
Review: The first time I listened to this album was a couple weeks ago, with one of my friends. I talked about burning a couple of songs, but then my friend said "Why not buy it? I highly recommend this album." Then, I thought 'why not buy it?' So here I am ...

Crazy Punk/Funk Rock at its Best

by   datdawgg ,  Dec 2, 2003
Pros: All the Chili Peppers tracks you love and more.
Cons: Missing a few good ones like "Can't Stop" and stuff off of "Mother's Milk".
Review: This album truly represents what the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been doing over the past thirteen years: being true to themselves through their music. While bands often falter after the first few albums because they keep making the same music over and ...

Real Men Don't Kill Coyotes, they listen to the Red Hot Chili Peppers....

by   titan45 ,  Jan 23, 2004
Pros: Hmm...Red Hot Chili Peppers + Greatest Hits = Lots of Pros
Cons: Some missing tracks
The Bottom Line: Give It Away
Review: I'd love to do an introduction...but then again what hasn't been said about the Red Hot Chili Peppers? The kings of funk have been going strong for nearly 20 years now, a figure that no one could have possibly conceived when they started up, or even ...

A good collection of singles, but flawed

by   joe-cool ,  Jan 6, 2004
Pros: Despite a few songs, most of them are superb, sounding great remastered
Cons: A few great songs left out, some albums under appreciated, some overly
The Bottom Line: The casual fans of the singles will get a hit, but other more devoted fans should by it for the remastered greatness.
Review: We can't avoid the obvious fact: The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the greatest bands out there. Their style and mixing different types of music is completely original and fresh. These guys started way back in the early 1980's, and they've created ...

Not Quite As Red Hot As It Could’ve Been

by   SixerMan ,  Jan 6, 2004
Pros: Includes some of their best songs, better than their first greatest hits album
Cons: Albums not properly represented, no “Aeroplane” or “Love Rollercoaster”, some strange song selections
The Bottom Line: Doesn’t include enough new material for hardcore fans and will disappoint casual fans with several glaring omissions. Still a solid album, however.
Review: Well, I guess it’s about that time again. It seems as though it’s become a standard for a band to release a greatest hits compilation after every four albums. Thus, we have the Red Hot Chili Peppers Greatest Hits. Some fans may be wondering why ...
