Pros: awesome clarity and detail, punchy bass, great buy
Cons: not everyone digs the Grado sound, uncool retro look, ear fatigue after long periods
The Bottom Line: The relationship between cost and value is unrivaled by any phones anywhere.
Review: "You'll be hard pressed to find a better pair of headphones for the money ...." - Chris Jones / The Perfect Vision magazine "...an exceptional value with no peers in its price range." - Radio World / Bruce Bartlett Vol.20, No.9 "...BEST BUY" ...

Nicest cans for the dough by far

Pros: Inexpensive, great sounding, efficient, made by a little outfit in Brooklyn.
Cons: May reveal the true quality of your MP3 collection.
The Bottom Line: You can't go wrong at this price!
Review: After hearing raves for the Grado phones for years, I finally bought the entry-level SR60s last December. My goal was to find something more fun with which to listen to my ever expanding library of digital music via my iPod or when working at my ...

Pros: Ridiculously good "live performance" sound for the moolah.
Cons: You'll want to re-listen to your entire music collection; friends will worry.
The Bottom Line: Can't afford the high-end stuff? You. Must. Try. These.
Review: Consider the recording session: Microphones just so, engineers hovering over control boards, musicians keen on/ever being prodded to capture that elusive take. It's a calculated coming-together of various, often seemingly-contradictory elements to create ...

Pros: Impeccable sound, quality construction, made in the USA
Cons: Ugly (a con if you actually care), open design lets sound in and out
The Bottom Line: Wrote it in the main body because it wouldn't fit here...
Review: Where do I start... well I bought these from an amazon.com affiliate store. They arrived in time for Christmas, and I tried them for the first time on Christmas day. I tested them with the Incubus song Are You In?. They just about glistened with ...

Pros: Nice sense of air and "soundstage," smooth wide-ranging sound.
Cons: The cord - awful. Feels like wearing a stethoscope.
The Bottom Line: If you can tolerate the mindblowingly, headspinningly annoying cord (and unusual looks), I think you'll be delighted at this price.
Review: I first purchased a pair of Grado SR-60's after hearing a lot of rave reviews of these headphones on ...

Pros: Fantastically transparent, detailed, rich sound.
Cons: Odd looking and not terribly comfortable...but you can't beat the price.
Review: I think Grados break every single rule of modern electronics design and that's why I love them so much. Fashionably chic? Forget about it. You want GQ, go get those Sony headphones that look like they are about to fall off the back of your head, sorta...

Musical heaven. THE best headphones you can get that don't need an amp.

Pros: Outstanding sound quality, far above any other $60 pair, and bass to match the price.
Cons: On the expensive side for some, sound gets in, slightly uncomfortable after a couple hours.
The Bottom Line: After 2 or 3 hours, your ears might hurt. They're big, but the "cans" swivel 360. The sound quality will make you weep, and then want to nuke Sony.
Review: My brother actually owns these, but I use them more than him :) For under 100 dollars, these are by far the best headphones for a portable player you'll find. OK, so there's a couple sub-100 ones that are better, but if you look closely at reviews and ...

Grado SR-60: Great sound, odd styling!

Pros: Low price, performance
Cons: Clunky styling, overly thick cable, sound leak greater than most
The Bottom Line: A great pair of headphones for portable or home use.
Review: OVERVIEW
On the recommendations of Headroom (www.headphone.com), Hi-Fi Choice (Great Britain) and Consumer Guide (which had rated these headphones as "Best Buy" for years), I decided last Monday to order the Grado SR-60... |

Pros: Inexpensive, sound great on gutless players.
Cons: Ugly, better cans are available at higher dollars.
Review: I spend lots of time listening to very good headphones, and my tolerance level for cheap headphones is pretty low, BUT, the one pair of inexpensive headphones that I don't mind using on a regular basis are the Grado SR 60s. Simply put they are the best...

Pros: Great sound, incredible value, easily driven by portable sources.
Cons: Not rugged enough for day-to-day portable use.
The Bottom Line: This combination of excellent sound quality and low price is rare and unbeatable.
Review: The SR-60 headphones by Grado Labs represent something truly rare in the consumer audio world: truly ...
