I possibly had a faulty one

Reading the other reviews I possibly purchased a faulty one, because my experience with the Grago Digital Baby Monitor was not near as good as the other reviewers indicated.

Our bedroom is adjacent to our son's room, so keep in mind that at most the monitor was about 25 foot maximum away from the base.

We first purchased the monitor after we had a Fisher Price monitor that was just awful. The Graco model started off working wonderfully. You could adjust the volume for your specific needs, and the portability of the monitor was a very nice feature. I also liked that there were two receivers. One stayed in our bedroom, and the other one we were able to travel throughout the house with.

The range was never a problem with the receivers within our house. You could get about 50 feet (as the crow flies) away from the monitor and it still worked fine through walls and floors.

Our problem however developed about a month after purchase. Suddenly the receivers could not longer find the base. They would set off this annoying beep. At first we were able to take it back to the base and reset it. However after some time we were not even able to do that. You would take it back to the base reset it, and it still would have not be able to find the receivers. We changed the batteries, and still had the same problem. We eventually got frustrated, and decided to box it up.
