Product Review

American imitation of European stroller, haha

by   maryed93 ,   May 4, 2008

Pros:  Compact and lightweight

Cons:  Hard to push on many surfaces.

The Bottom Line:  The stroller will work for you if you don't plan on using it outside much.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

This stroller seemed like a sure bet when I first saw it in the store. It looked similar to the high end stroller such as the Peg Perego Pliko P3, the Maclaren, Combi, and the Inglesina umbrella type strollers. The biggest difference I saw was the price, which was only about $100.00 as compared to the others mentioned above being $200.00 to $600.00 on average.
Well I quickly found out that this wasn't the case. Although this stroller is indeed lightweight and folds to a smaller size acceptable for small trunks, it is by no means even close to comparable to my Peg Perego Pliko. It is hard to maneuver on most surfaces. The only place it actually strolls smoothly is inside. The wheels seem to get all squirly on outside surfaces so I don't even attempt to use it other than the mall. The stroller strolls better with smaller babies, the heavier they are the harder it is to steer.
The seat seems to be comfortable for the baby although it doesn't lay totally flat for smaller babies. The material is of mediocre quality and cleans up easily with a wet cloth. The stroller has a bit more room in the seat than a traditional umbrella stroller. I did notice that the frame is not as sturdy as the high end strollers and seems to sag a little with larger babies.
Overall the stroller is over priced for what it is. It really isn't much better than a regular cheap umbrella stroller other than the reclining seat with a front bar and heavier frame. Don't let the looks of this stroller fool you though, it is not comparable to the European strollers. The stroller will suit you fine if you only need it for smooth surfaces and smaller children and don't want to spend the money on the more expensive brands. Maybe Graco will eventually bring the price down to match the actual quality of this stroller.
