Full of imagination, spunk, heart

I really don't understand how anybody can give this movie a bad review, unless of course you never had a childhood or an imagination. Growing up, I never knew the name of this movie, I just knew it was my favorite movie and whenever it came on I was glued to the T.V. Can you imagine watching The Goonies when you are eight? I wished I could have jumped into my T.V. and joined that gang on their quest for treasure. The plot basically follows a group of kids who find an old treasure map in their attic and than go on an adventure to find the treasure of One-Eyed Willy. They go through underground tunnels, waterfalls, traps, fight scary one eyed monsters, and numerous other "bad" guys. Eventually their adventures leads them to that spectacular scene with that huge old pirate ship floating in the water, full of that sought-after treasure. I absolutely love the acting in this movie because it seems to show the characters eagerness and passion for adventure that many kids posses, but that many adult fail to remember. I continue to believe that this is one of the best movies of all time and our references to this movie in popular culture today seem to confirm the legacy it left behind.
