There were bullet holes the size of matzoh balls, Mikey!

Date of Review:  Sep 4, 2001
The Bottom Line: With movies like The Goonies, first impressions are everything. When I watch this movie, I'm 14 years old again.
Review: It's a dangerous thing to re-visit movies that were childhood favorites. For every one that stands the test of time (such as Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory), there are handfuls of other ones that make you a bit embarrassed at your misguided...

Ah the memories (LNMIII)

Date of Review:  Nov 23, 2004
The Bottom Line: I simply love this flick.
Review: Richard Donner, director of such classics as Timeline, and Conspiracy Theory...

Wait a second maybe he's not the greatest director afterall. Well he must be getting old or something because back in the 80's this director helmed what has...

Sean Astin makes his first film appearance in The Goonies

Date of Review:  Feb 19, 2007
The Bottom Line: Another film aimed at children but enjoyable enough for adults as well.
Review: The Goonies is a fairly old film but I've never actually seen it the whole way through until tonight. It revolves around a group of kids – who call themselves "The Goonies" – who get caught up in a great adventure involving hidden pirate treasure...

Chocolate? Choc-late

Date of Review:  Sep 17, 2004
The Bottom Line: A funny 80s comedy about a group of kids that try to save their homes by searching for a buried treasure
Review: Who can believe in was almost 20 years ago that I saw Goonies at my local mall in the summer of 1985? I was only 7 at the time, but this movie is a classic to our Generation Xers. Hopefully they'll replay this at theatres next year for a special...

Go on a Fun Adventure With The Goonies

Date of Review:  Mar 23, 2008
The Bottom Line: The Goonies is a fun adventure movie worth watching despite the few problems it had.
Review: There were several movies that were popular when I was growing up that I did not see at that point for whatever reason. I have seen some of them since then. It was probably about five years ago before I first saw The Goonies, an adventure movie...

Kids!

Date of Review:  May 3, 2003
The Bottom Line: Goonies R good enough.
Review: In the tradition of great kiddie movies like "Flight of the Navigator" and "Home Alone" is Richard Donner's "The Goonies". Donner's film about a group of kids on an adventure to try and save their neighborhood has become something of a cult classic...

An Eighties Classic

Date of Review:  Dec 1, 1999
Review: While this movie came out while I was growing up, I still find people quoting from this movie all the time. While it's editing job in the original VHS version has a few mistakes (including a bit of dialogue still in the movie which talks about...

The Greatest Movie of all Time

Date of Review:  Oct 17, 1999
Review: There is no other way to describe this movie, than to say it is one of the biggest movies from my childhood. This is where have of my quotes came from as a kid, and there was no other movie that I could sit and watch over and over, that was still as...

It's Good Enough

Date of Review:  Nov 13, 2001
The Bottom Line: Spielberg showcased up and coming young actors in this 80s adventure flick involving pirates, treasures, water slides, and other things near and dear to the ten year old.
Review: The producers of the What a Friend We Have in Cheeses campaign for the American Dairy Council have given me a deluxe new motorhome for travel to the Appalachian locations where we are filming this week. As befits a star of my stature, there?s room...

I Always Wanted to be a Goonie ? Adventure, Comedy, Treasure, No Parents

Date of Review:  Oct 20, 2003
The Bottom Line: Will make you wish you could be a Goonie and go on an adventure like this one.
Review: I'm not afraid to admit, that at the ripe age of 10, The Goonies was my favorite movie of all time. Now some, um, 18 years later I had the opportunity to catch my old classic on cable and I'll still say it is one of my favorite movies of all time...
