Product Review

The best reason to listen to new music in decades

by   squeezle-ii ,   Jun 2, 2004

Pros:  For the past 15 years I've only listened to singles - after this...never again.

Cons:  One listen just wont work

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

Listen to this only once and you have lost out on so much, you could well rate way up there with the man at Decca who said no to The Beatles.

It's nuts, its fun, its music for anyone who loves to have a thought behind their smile. The Bright, beautiful guitars behind lead single 'Float On' are reminiscent of the Beach Boys at their best without the soppy lyrics. The sharp bite thrown out from 'Bukowski' on lyrics, melody and guitar is an amazing listen. 'Good Times Are Killing Me' is the strongest lead-out track on any album in decades.

Forget that the 'Horn Intro' sounds like a cheap lift from the first quirky disc ever made, listen again. This is the most original and individual album I've heard in yonks.
