A great movie for all time
Date of Review: Dec 21, 1999
Gone With the Wind was an excellent movie. Clark Gable and Vivien Leigh together romanced not only the Old South, but the hearts of Americans. Together this couple accomplished things in a life time that only some of us dream about.
The story line could have been a little closer to Margaret Mitchell's version. It is not known that Scarlett had any children much less two, before Bonnie. However, understanding the time period of the movie it is well understood why the screenplay writer did not want that particular piece to be talked about.
This movie could be a close depiction to the latter part of the century before us. Nobody knew what it was like, what the war was like, or how much the South meant to the Southerners.
There are no scenes that are offense and this movie can be watched for some education. Gone With the Wind could be watched by people of all ages.
