This Australian native sounds like he hails from Texas, or Kentucky. When I first heard this guy, I didn't know anything about him, and when I found out he was from Australian I thought I read something wrong. I didn't think there was anyway somebody who could sing with such a traditional country sound could be from anywhere but the south.
Keith Urban also has amazing pickin' abilities to match his incredible voice. He plays the acoustic and the electric guitar. The ganjo, the e-bow, the cardboard box, and the piano on the tracks on this CD. Now, I don't know what a lot of these instruments are, but he makes them sound good.
Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me
"I got the one I love beside me, my troubles behind me, I'm alive and I'm free, who wouldn't wanna be me?"
You'll Think of Me
Is a sad breakup song.
"Take your cat and leave my sweater we've got nothin' left to weather, in fact I'll feel a whole lot better, if you'll think of me."
Jeans On
"You and me we'll go motorbike ridin' in the sun and the wind and the rain. I've got money in my pocket, I've got a tiger in my tank and I'm king of the road again."
"I pull my blue jeans, I pull my ole blue jeans on."
The best part of this CD is the bonus song at the end of You're Not My God track 12 that ends at 4:18. The bonus song starts at the 6:19 mark and goes to 8:24 it's called, This is My One Chord Song I found it when I got busy doing something and forgot to turn the CD off.
"I've said all I need to say, and you probably won't hear this anyway."
"I could make it sound like there's another chord but you'd be fooled because there is only one."
Naturally it's only in one chord so it's the best song on the CD but it's certainly the funniest. I'm so glad I forget to turn the CD off and that I could hear this song.
