HATE IT!
Date of Review: Feb 13, 2006
The Bottom Line: Don't buy this baby carrier. It's dangerous for baby and is uncomfortable for you. I'm keeping an eye and ear out for a recall.
My first experience with this harness was horrible. And my second. And third. First of all, it is a HUGE pain to put on. Untangling it and trying to put it on is a mess. I used this carrier with my 2 month old, who weighs 12lbs and discovered that it's a nightmare to put baby in and out of. His legs get caught and you have to use one hand to pull baby out and one hand to hold the harness down so it doesn't come up over your head. WHICH IS DANGEROUS FOR BABY!! There is NO way to get him out without waking him and he's crying and people are watching you and everyone gets upset. The carrier offers front or possible inward placement, neither of which has suited well with proper use. Second, this harness has so many buckles and clips and ties that make adjusting it a time consuming and awkward thing, especially if baby is in it. The bottom of the leg holes dig into baby and create little cuts (due to little padding) and redness. The clips to adjust your waist also dig into baby and you and the thin strips of material for adjusting get knotted up in the clips when you try to pull it to adjust. Then, finally, after all that, it NEVER seems to be balanced. Baby is swaying to the left or the right no matter now symmetrical everything seems to be. Your back is aching from the imbalance and the round "back support" adjustment settles between your shoulderblades--WHICH IS NOT THE PLACE TO CARRY WEIGHT! Instead of settling in the middle of your back where the support is supposed to be it is digging into your shoulderblades and carrying baby becomes a torture rather than a bonding experience. I traveled from Pennsylvania to California with this !!!!!TERRIBLE!!!!! harness and I can't wait to get something else!!!!! My back was aching for 4 days afterward. For $20, you pay what you get for. DO NOT GET THIS HARNESS! It's dangerous and I'm surprised a recall hasn't been sent out.
