I Wanted To Love It, But It's Off? My List
Date of Review: Feb 11, 2003
The Bottom Line: Off? is cheaper and goes further.
I wanted to love it. The bottle is so attractive; I loved the jewelry around the neck and the shape. I'm not someone who buys perfume, I try one new fragrance every other year or so. This one kept calling to me
I should have changed my phone number.
I ordered it through DrugStore.com, scent un-smelled. I wouldn't recommend that. Next time I'll try it out at a store (but I never go to a store, that's the problem).
They have 2 sizes at DrugStore.com and although they try to convince you to buy the larger size ("buy a larger size and save 34%!), I refrained. Thank goodness, because I have more than I could ever use with the 1.7 oz.
I'm not a connoisseur; I just know what I like. My current favorite is Tommy Girl if that help you pigeonhole me. I tend to wear perfume I like, and only that, until I don't like it anymore.
Sold as "Fresh" "Sexy" "Clean", it smells more like medicine to me. Or Off™, the bug spray.
Jennifer sees it otherwise. Her thoughts are that it's a combination of orange flower, grapefruit, and bright citrus for the high note—ok, I like all of these, but maybe that's where the Off™ note hits me.
Next she sees SEXY—rose, Sandalwood, Soft Amber, sheer florals
.nope, I don't smell it.
CLEAN—Transparent jasmine (what does that mean?), Vanilla (a favorite for candles but not on me!), Musk (so 70s), and Orris (again, what is that?).
It's loved by many, but not me. I would recommend giving it a try at your nearest cosmetic counter before starting a relationship with J.Lo.
