This Grill helps KNOCK out the time too!

This grill came recommended to us as the plates are removable, the cooking space is large enough to cook for a small gathering, there is a Timer and Variable Temp control(300 to 425) along with the drip tray, and plastic food scraper. Regrettably, this was the only only one left on the shelf and the included full cookbook has already been swiped out of the box, so WalMart wouldn't do anything to help us replace it. Luckily, I found a copy locally for $5 versus the $20 it retails for on the shelf.

For our household, we have 2 on Weight Watchers and 1 on Low Carb, so the Foreman Grill is handy to have for both. With us on the go, one thing we love about it is the time it takes to cook the food. The User Guide that's provided has a chart of many foods and their recommended cooking temps along with times based on how well you want your food cooked. So far, we've found the chart to be on the "cook it longer" side, so we've lowered cooking time for burgers to so they come out juicy and cooked, not so well done as it drys out the meat. I like the variable temp so I can cook it hotter in less time, or cook it cooler for longer to get a full-through cooking on frozen foods.

As a heads-up, the older GF Grill cookbooks recommended using cooking sprays on the grill itself. I do NOT recommended it. It starts to coat the grill and after a week, it took alot of scrubbing to get off. There is a George Foreman Yahoo! Group located at:

The word is to not use the spray OR use olive oil OR to spray the food directly and not the grill so less actually gets coated on the grill. You can located spray bottles at a local store and fill it with olive oil to create a spray that won't harm your grill.

Yes, cleaning it can be a breeze. Sometime I will simply wipe the big stuff off and throw it into the dishwasher and other times, I will wash it in the sink. It's hard to say how the dishwasher will impact the non-stick surface over time, so I do both.

It's like any new kitchen appliance-you need to work with it to determine the best outcome desired. It feels sturdy and actually looks pretty sharp sitting on the counter in its black/silver tone.
